The Easy Way to Stop Smoking - How to Stop Smoking in 24 Hours Or Less

>> Friday, January 29, 2010

Do you really want to stop smoking?

Have you tried to stop smoking time and time again, but you still can resist lighting up another?

It has been proven over and over that smoking is not physically addicting. So why do you miss it? ... Why do you crave it?... Why do you keep doing something proven deadly in so many ways?

The reason you can't stop smoking once and for all is... you don't really want to stop. Don't get me wrong; you might have a hundred reasons why you want to stop, but your subconscious mind associates pleasure, relief, relaxation, nostalgia, comfort, social acceptance, or some other pleasurable benefit to smoking. And your subconscious mind associates stopping as painful.

In other words, your subconscious mind believes you should smoke. Your logical, analytical, and deliberate actions occur from your conscious mind, but your thoughts, values, and beliefs reside in your subconscious mind... and these are the true drivers for who you are and what you do... especially for habitual actions you do without thinking... such as smoking.

So, the secret to the easy way to stop smoking is to convince your subconscious mind you no longer want to smoke, it is not pleasurable, and smoking is actually bad for you. And the best way to communicate and transform the thoughts and beliefs in your subconscious mind is through hypnosis.

Hypnosis is not magical or mystical; it's simply a way to set aside your conscious mind and communicate directly to your subconscious. Thus, if you truly want to stop smoking today...within 24 hours... the only way to do it permanently is to convince your subconscious mind that smoking is not pleasurable and you do not want to smoke; and there is no better way to do that than through hypnosis.

But Wait!... Maybe you are one of those people who can not be hypnotized. You don't want to waste time and money on a hypnotist or even on self hypnosis downloads or recordings until you know it will work for you. Of course, you could write and record your own self hypnosis script for free, but make sure you follow the rules of the subconscious mind, or it will not work even if you are hypnotizable.

You can always resort to old fashioned will power to stop smoking and try to logically convince yourself you are taking care of your health, you feel better, food tastes better, and so on, but in the end the only permanent cure is to use hypnosis to stop smoking.

Fortunately, there is a quick and easy way to see if you can be hypnotized for free.

Quit Smoking - The Easy Way

Author: Dennis Moore Hopkins

Smokers hate it when someone tells them all the detrimental effects from smoking. It’s not like they don’t know; they are clearly aware of it. However, many smokers continue on their smoking habit because of various reasons such as addiction, psychological and physiological comfort. For those who smoke, here are some effective ways to quit smoking.

So, when’s the right time to quit? Well first of all, make a list of the pros and cons from smoking. List down the pros of smoking such as stress relieve and cons such as bad breath. When the cons overrule the pros, then you would know that it’s now the right time to quit smoking. After you decide that you’re quitting for good; make a quit date which is the day you’re going to throw away all things related to smoking.

For smokers, quitting is definitely hard. So you must anticipate the trials and tribulations that you will be facing when quitting. Make a list of the reasons on why quitting is hard. For example, cigarette is an addictive drug, so try nicotine replacement patches. Remember, perseverance is the key to success.

The hardest part a smoker faces when quitting is when the craving kicks in. You can try substituting 4 nuts with shell for each cigarette you wish to puff on. Researches found that the cracking and eating of nuts mimics the same sensation as with smoking. Other ways to quit smoking is to drink a cup of herbal tea at the time you usually smoke because the procedure of brewing tea and sipping the tea slowly gives the same feeling as when one is smoking. Sometimes, you might succumb to your cravings when you’re trying to quit. That’s okay! Some people actually failed 8 times before they finally gave up smoking.

Sometimes, you might feel that you can’t do it. Try and get a close person to tell you your past achievements and the hardship you faced to achieve that success to get that added confidence within you. The point here is that perseverance is the key to success.

Time for New Year's Resolutions again. Why not get the job done this time? Quit smoking for good. It's outdated, unappealing, and most importantly, unhealthy in so many ways. There are lots of ways to quit smoking, such as the nicotine patch, Chantix, or nicotine gum. But Chantix, for example, comes with a 44% success rate after 9-12 weeks, and the warning of dangerous side effects such as allergic reactions, insomnia, hallucinations, black outs, agitation, depression and suicidal thoughts. Who wants to take a chance on that? I'd like to suggest a better way to become a permanent non-smoker.

Thousands of people have already discovered the efficacy of hypnotherapy for kicking the habit. Hypnosis uncovers the reasons why people smoke, and unhealthy habits and unproductive thoughts are replaced with positive and supporting new behaviors. The process is comfortable, relaxing, and enlightening. It works with your body's own innate wisdom for physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Hypnosis is a natural, yet altered state of consciousness that we go in and out of all day long. Hypnotherapy accesses your deeper mind to uncover how to stop smoking for a lifetime.

Human beings have a conscious and a sub-conscious mind. The subconscious is our survival mind, and it seeks to protect and serve us. Why Stop Smoking

>> Tuesday, January 26, 2010

With so much research and facts known today about the health risks of smoking cigarettes it is amazing that the question "why stop smoking?" is still asked. Its universally agreed upon at this point that smoking cigarettes is one of the most unhealthiest activities that anyone at any age can participate in. Historically people have developed their smoking habit in their teen years. As teens people started smoking cigarettes because it was perceived to be "cool" or they felt it made them rebellious. Most teens do not think about their future when it comes to health so they don't take smoking a serious as they should. Since smoking cigarettes is highly addictive most teens will take their smoking habit with them into adulthood.

As a cigarette smoker gets older the reasons why stop smoking pile up and become more of a reality with every passing day. Lung cancer, emphysema, and heart disease are just a few of the many issues that can be caused by smoking cigarettes. Lung cancer has been especially linked to smoking cigarettes. A smoker is 23 times more likely to develop a malignant growth in the lungs than a non-smoker. Emphysema has also been linked primarily to smoking and is even more a factor for men 55 years or older that have spent a good majority of their life smoking cigarettes. Developing heart disease from smoking cigarettes is due to a condition called atherosclerosis which is the build of of fatty deposits in your arteries. This forces your arteries to constrict and increase your chances of a heart attack.

Other reasons why stop smoking cigarettes are less harmful but may be embarrassing. People who have been smoking for a long time will experience yellowing teeth, bad breath, and even stained fingers from constantly holding cigarettes. People who experience yellowing teeth may find that brushing often or using whitening products will not help solve the problem. This is due to the tar from cigarette smoking getting to deep in the enamel of your teeth and therefore making it very difficult to reverse the effect. Smoking cigarettes can even damage your taste buds. Smoking cigarettes numbs your taste buds while you are smoking and for extended periods of time after.
